Simon Harvey Williams – Writer & Darkstuff Productions founder

Directed his first full length script A Night in Room 101 in the Bristol Old Vic Basement in 1999 and subsequently wrote and directed several shows for the space His short play Tag was chosen for Paines Plough Ticket to Write production. Simon was one of the writers for Bath Theatre Royal’s 24 Hour Plays in 2011.

Phil John – Writer & Darkstuff Productions founder

Co-founder of award-winning Devon collective Baobab Theatre and Film, Phil has worked professionally as a Writer and Director in the Southwest and Wales. He was the director for Theatre Powys at their critically acclaimed Mid Powys Youth Theatre for 3 years and has worked in site-specific performance including directing at the Eden Project Cornwall and writing & producing the Totnes Rotherfold Community play & most recently writing the part of Archimedes for the Bioregional Learning Centre.  His recent film ‘Flies’ an adaptation of a play written for Darkstuff Productions has been shortlisted for numerous film festivals

Rebecca Megson-Smith – Creative Producer & Writer

In addition to working with Darkstuff on the original Moby Dick in 2012 and on Nudge in 2014, Rebecca has worked with a variety of production companies including Devon-based Brown Paper Bag (Shakespeare in the Square), Common Players (Speaking in Tongues, Talking Heads) and Bath-based Butterfly Psyche (Fertility Objects). She has undertaken a variety of roles from Stage Manager to Assistant Director.
